Allan Bjornaa created a page on gofundme.com to help raise money for one of Wawa's families.

"Two days ago, Wawa, Ontario was hit by record rainfall.  The Trans-Canada Highway North and South of the town was washed away. Some dear friends of mine also had their home destroyed. These are amazing people who have helped me personally many times. Now it is my turn... Please give what you can. Every cent will hopefully help them build their new dream home and make life a little easier in the mean time."

Since this began around noon today, donations have flowed in from everywhere...

If you like, you can help by clicking here and making a donation.

You live in the best town in Canada, and I know that right now you are going through a time that nobody can imagine. But please know that people across this great country will be helping and thinking of you. I was born in Wawa many years ago, and fortunately I have been able to get back for visits the last five years. Good luck to you and I know the people of your great town will help you get through this.
